Broad Stripe Butchers bring quality meat to your door

Broad Stripe Butchers - Homepage

I am pleased to announce that Broad Stripe Butchers now have a live e-commerce website! Here at Jupiter the Digital team have worked hard to produce this easy to use, intuitive website which shows off the beautiful new brand; also created by Jupiter.

I joined this project in the middle of its final development stages and worked on the site usability and customer journey. The site has a wide product range and one of the challenges for me was making sure products with multiple weight options were clearly displayed and easy to choose. This was to eliminate the need for products to be individually shown with the weights variant. Having one product with all weights displayed on one page is much better.

I went through all the site functions refining the interface and making certain elements more coherent, especially the table layouts (yes I said table! Eek, don’t worry it was for tabulated data). There are more things I would like to do on the site, such as streamline the checkout process, however we all have deadlines and sometimes you have to leave things for phase two. I certainly hope we can continue to develop the site as more products are added and more people sign up for buying their scrumptious meat from Broad Stripe.

Take a look for yourself and see how you find it. Maybe you’ll see something that tickles your taste buds. They also have some delicious recipes for you to try… yum.

    Mmmmm. Meat in the post.

Nice site, good idea. A quick suggestion though… the High Contrast toggle turns the blackboard text black, meaning it’s actually harder to see.

Thanks Andy. I’ll take a look at that high contrast issue. :)

And I will attempt to sound like less of a know it all, my apologies!

No worries! It’s fixed now anyhow. Sometimes these bloopers get through…
