Yahoo! - gold dust
After browsing through my popular reads .. I came across some links to Yahoo’s latest contribution to the rest of us web ordinaries…

The UI blog is the accompaniment to the design pattern and the user interface library. It’s already got some educational posts and the potential looks promising.
So, is all this intelligence free to use? Yes… but make sure you check out the following details:
First, we’re happy to report that both libraries are totally free and wide open. The Yahoo! User Interface Library is released under the friendly BSD open-source license. The Yahoo! Design Pattern Library is released under the Creative Commons Attribution-By license.
This is a great step forward to helping us developers and designers explore widely used design models and make sure we are getting it right. I am sure from these types of libraries, we can expect to see extensive web patterns emerging as user interaction on the web ripens.
The number of richer user experiences that are soaking into our web usage, the more design problems will be created and more solutions will be demanded. Starting a collective of these most common design problems we have had for over a decade, is a great place to start. I am also excited to see that where appropriate, metaphors and concepts are explained. I think this is key to making the web a user friendly place for everyone, whilst enhancing user’s experiences.
Great stuff. ![]()

Neat Stuff. I have a Yahoo Geocities acct. I can make use of those resources myself.

I am posting because I have pertainent information relating to webpage viewing that all webmonkeys should be aware of (I’m sorry the post doesn’t fit this topic all that well)…
Mozilla has just released a brand new Mac-native version of the Firefox webbrowser entitled: “Camino” (I am composing this very post on it). The current version is–not surprisingly–v1.0
Here is the url to the Camino Information page…

~Happy Birthday!¡!
Hi you!
So Firefox is opened again.
I just downloaded Camino a few weeks ago. I need to move my bookmarks over to it because I go to use it but always want something from my bookmarks lol.
On the new browser note, I came accross this a few weeks ago too: http://flock.com/ It’s still in beta atm (0.5.13) but interesting to see another broswer pop up.
Flock is great
I was using it for a few months, but then I moved my bookmarks from del.icio.us to ma.gnolia, and switched back to firefox. Besides, I can’t do without my web developer extension :p
